Warm greetings from San Jose, the Central Valley. As we step into April, I wanted to share a quick update on what’s been happening around San José and what exciting events are coming up this month. Whether you’re thinking about buying, selling, or simply enjoying life in our community, there’s always something to stay connected to.
March Highlights
March was a lively month across San José and the Central Valley:
- Festival Transitarte once again brought art, music, and food to Parque Nacional, Parque España, and Parque Morazán—drawing thousands and showcasing local talent.
- The International Arts Festival (FIA) featured performances from both Costa Rican and international artists-450 artists from 12 countries, adding vibrant cultural energy to the city. La Sabana Metropolitan Park served as the main venue.
- The Picnic Festival featured artists such as Christina Aguilera, Maná, Christian Nodal, and Tyga.
- Farmers markets across neighborhoods like Escazú and Santa Ana continued to grow in popularity, offering fresh produce, artisanal goods, and a great way to support local vendors.

New Restaurant Spotlight

One exciting addition to the dining scene is Yard House. Opened its first international location at Avenida Escazu on March 25, 2026. Known for its massive selection of draft beers and classic American fare like Poke Nachos and the Onion Ring Tower.
🏡 Real Estate Snapshot
The San José market was extremely active this first quarter. Our RE/MAX office had 24 closings, 24 new beginnings. We’re seeing steady interest from both local and international buyers, especially in walkable neighborhoods and homes with outdoor space.
If you’re curious about your home’s current value or considering a move this year, I’d be happy to talk with you.
